Lewis and Clark arrived at Seaside (it was not as built up as it is now) back in the early 1800’s. It really wasn’t the end of the trail for them, they had to turn around and come back.

The “iconic” photo of the beginning of a cross-country bicycle trek. Here, my rear wheel is in the Pacific Ocean at beautiful Seaside, Oregon. A concrete promenade stretches the length of the beach, crowded with Memorial Day weekend cyclists, rollerbladers, and walkers.
